Today is infusion 7 of 16. I'm literally on ice. I decided to try cold therapy. So I have special socks with ice packs and my hands are on on ice, as well. Cold therapy constricts blood vessels, reducing blood flow to these areas. That means less chemotherapy medication for the fingers and toes. Hoping it helps with neuropathy.
Neuropathy is nerve damage that can cause tingling, numbness, and other sensations, often in the feet and hands. Neuropathy is a common side effect of chemotherapy.
Cold therapy doesn't work for everyone, but there's no harm in trying.
